The Journey

Six Days. Six Chapters.

Each day is designed with intention — not as a schedule to follow, but as an invitation to arrive more fully into yourself and each other.

Each Day

The Daily Rhythm

Every morning begins the same way: a slow walk, a meditation, time for journaling, and a short energy practice. This rhythm isn't filler — it's the container that makes everything else possible. By Day 3, most couples say it already feels like home.

Morning

Walking, meditation, journaling, daily energy routine

Midday

Guided session — tools, reflection, partner work

Afternoon

Free time, rest, nature, integration

Evening

Homework practice together, ceremony, or dinner

Day 01

Opening Ceremony

Where it begins.

We open with ceremony and an introduction to a new, loving, creative way of being in partnership. The first session invites each person to slow down and look honestly at what they learned about love — not from books, but from watching the people who raised them.

Couples reflect together through guided journaling on what they each learned about marriage, partnership, and growing up by watching their parents or caretakers. What worked? What didn't? What did you carry forward without ever choosing to? From there, couples begin setting shared intentions for the days ahead — not goals, but directions. A compass, not a checklist.

The day ends around the fire. No agenda. Just presence.

Day 02

Tools for the Everyday

Honest stock-taking.

Mornings start with the daily rhythm. In our first full session, we take honest stock of the routines already running our lives — and ask whether they're serving us or draining us.

We explore the power of choice and intention: the difference between a life that happens to you and one you're actively creating. Each couple receives their first tool — the Circle of Intention — and leaves with homework to practice together that evening. Simple. Direct. Surprisingly revealing.

Evening homework: sit together with the Circle. Notice what comes up.

Day 03

The Energies of Love

Understanding your partner's nature.

Drawing on the Five Element framework from Eden Energy Medicine, we explore the different energetic temperaments partners bring into a relationship — Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, and Wood.

Understanding your own elemental nature — and your partner's — changes the way you relate. What you once read as withdrawal might be Water needing stillness. What felt like control might be Metal seeking integrity. The afternoon session turns toward integrity as energy: aligning the flow of your feelings and emotions into an unbroken wholeness, wanting for nothing outside yourself.

The day closes with a quiet reflection: where are you most out of alignment — and what would it feel like to come home?

Day 04

Integration & Ceremony

Putting it into practice.

We revisit each couple's intentions from Day 1 and put new integrity skills into practice through role play — real scenarios, real patterns, real breakthroughs.

In the evening, a rock reading ceremony leads into cocktails and dinner. Each person selects a stone that represents something they're ready to release — a pattern, a story, a version of themselves that no longer fits. The closing ceremony that follows is the emotional heart of the retreat: each couple plants — or buries — what they're ready to let go of, and names what they're choosing instead.

This is the night most couples say they'll remember longest.

Day 05

Equine Assisted Learning

What the horses already know.

Horses are extraordinarily sensitive to the energy and intention of the people around them — they respond not to what you say, but to what you're actually feeling. In this guided session, couples work alongside horses in a series of ground-based exercises designed to surface patterns, deepen presence, and reveal the unspoken dynamics that shape every relationship.

Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) requires no riding experience. The work happens on the ground, in relationship — with the horse as a mirror. What you discover about yourself in the round pen often takes months to arrive in a therapy room. Here, it arrives in an afternoon. Facilitated by Mikel, who has integrated EAL into his practice for over two decades, this session is frequently described as the most surprising and transformative day of the retreat.

You don't need to understand it. You just need to show up honestly — the horses take it from there.

Day 06

Departure

Carrying it home.

There's no formal session on the final morning. Just time — for a last walk, a quiet breakfast, a conversation that doesn't need to go anywhere.

Couples leave with practiced tools, a renewed shared intention, and each other. The retreat doesn't end at departure. The tools are designed for daily life — simple enough to do anywhere, meaningful enough to change everything.

You came as two people. You leave as partners who chose each other again.
